Saxophonist Zach Herchen performs music ranging from classical trios to jazz tone poems, multimedia works, afrobeat, and beyond. He has performed as a soloist in Italy, Sweden, Germany, and at American venues such as Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, and Kennedy Center. Zach was a Bang on a Can Summer Festival Fellow, a past staff member at NEC’s Summer Institute for Contemporary Performance Practice, and has given masterclasses and held residencies at schools such as Peabody, Berklee, UVA, Aaron Copland School and more. Zach performs with New Thread Quartet, Rhymes With Opera, and is the director of Con Vivo Music.
