Danielle Jagelski is a conductor and composer based in Portland, Oregon. A member of the Oneida Nation, Danielle often explores mixed-race identity in her musical and academic work, along with being a founding member of Renegade Opera, which focuses on building equity in musical spaces. Recent conducting engagements include Transitions with Motus Vocal Ensemble and Die Zauberflöte at Aquilon Music Festival. An active administrator, Danielle works with the Oregon Symphony (Portland, OR), Minnesota Choral (Minneapolis, MN), and Gaudeamus Muziekweek (Utrecht, NL). She will begin her orchestral conducting studies at Manhattan School of Music with Maestro George Manahan in Fall 2020.
Composer and musician Ruby Fulton (b.1981) writes music which invites listeners to explore non-musical ideas through sound. Her musical portfolio includes explorations of mental illness, Buddhism, philosophy, psychedelic research, addiction, and chess strategy; and collaborative interdisciplinary projects with thinkers and makers in the sciences and literary, movement, and visual arts. She teaches composition and music theory at the University of Idaho Lionel Hampton School of Music.
Dylan Champagne is a composer and performer residing in Moscow, ID. Originally from the San Francisco bay area, his work – which ranges from avant-garde to pop, from chamber music to punk, from extreme to minimal – is heavily informed by the 20 years he spent involved in the underground music scene there. He is a recent graduate of the master’s program at Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama in Cardiff, Wales, and moonlights as a motion graphics artist and chile pepper enthusiast.
Lauren Shusterich is a vocalist based in Portland, OR. She's a founding member of the Baltimore band Wildhoney. She graduated from the Peabody Conservatory jazz program in 2010 and has been making music in many different places and contexts ever since.
