On August 1st, Rhymes With Opera will release its first-ever studio cast recording!
To celebrate, RWO is hosting an online live-stream event which will feature interviews with the entire creative team, clips from the cast album, and videos from the original production.
The live-stream will climax with the world premiere of Rumpelstiltskin tracks remixed and reimagined by musicians Jason Charney, Ruby Fulton, Robert Maril, Anna Meadors, Michael Shank, and Matthew Sullivan.
Rumpelstiltskin was written to commemorate the RWO 10th Anniversary Season by RWO founding composers Ruby Fulton and George Tsz-Kwan Lam and librettist John Clum, and is a reinvented, gender-bending, not-for-children retelling of the fairytale Rumpelstiltskin. The production was brought to vivid life by stage director Laine Rettmer, choreographer Luke Miller, and set designer Andrea Merkx.
This studio cast album of Rumpelstiltskin was engineered and produced by Matthew Sullivan. It will be available on August 1st, 2020 via all digital outlets, including Spotify and Apple Music.
